Description

The London School of Economics (LSE) is making available 1 Snowdon Scholarship for exceptionally talented disabled people who are applying for a Masters degree programme at LSE for AY 2018/2019 entry.

Benefits

The scholarship will cover tuition fees up to a value of £15,000 and provide a maintenance stipend of £15,000 to support living costs.

Eligibility

Applicants must be individuals with a disability – an impairment that has a substantial and long-term adverse effect on day-to-day activities and which significantly impact the applicant’s opportunity to undertake study at LSE. Eligible disabilities are: physical disabilities, sensory impairments, autistic spectrum conditions and long-term health conditions such as MS, chronic fatigue, Lupus, Crohns Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.

They also must possess the values set by the Snowdon Trust, namely:

  • A real passion for the chosen subject
  • Outstanding talent and originality in their chosen field which is recognised by others
  • Determination to succeed and to overcome obstacles
  • Potential to become a leader in their field and set an example for others to follow and
  • A strong desire to help improve the lives of others

In order to be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must have received an offer for any taught Masters programme at LSE by 26 April 2018.

Applications for the scholarship must be submitted by 26 April 2018.
