World Food Programme (WFP) is currently seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Head of Field Operations in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The duration of this post is 1 year.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Head of Field Operations will perform the following functions-
- Engage in policy dialogue with government and development partners on behalf of WFP and attend meetings and seminars.
- Participate and contribute to the development of strategies, policies and Country Strategic Plans for WFP Bangladesh.
- Lead, oversee and coordinate WFP Field Operations with currently three sub-offices under direct supervision and participation in joint UN projects. Provide support and guidance to the Heads of Sub-Office for efficient implementation and management of all programme/project activities.
- Hold accountability for effective management of WFP operations. Ensure efficient and effective use of resources and make sure that necessary control and monitoring mechanisms are in place in all three sub-offices and operations.
- Coordinate with different WFP functional units, relevant government counterparts/district administrations and also with relevant donors and UN agencies.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Advanced university degree or university degree with experience and advanced training/ courses in 1 or more of the following disciplines: social sciences, finance, business administration, management and related field of rural development.
- At least 5 years of postgraduate progressively responsible professional experience in social sciences, finance, or business administration, experience in planning and effective management of staff, financial and food resources.
- Excellent written and oral/communications skills in both English and Bangla.
- Nationality of Bangladesh.
