MASHAV Professional Training Courses

MASHAV, Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation, provides scholarships for the wide range of professional training courses held annually in Israel in conjunction with professional and academic institutes. These capacity building courses, which are available in English, Spanish, Russian and French, are in the fields of: agriculture, sustainable development, women and gender, health and nutrition, environment, science and technology, management and entrepreneurship, education, youth development, urbanization, and economic, social, community and rural development.

Some of the English professional programmes that will take place in 2018 are:

  • Development of Children: Social Emotional Support and Wellbeing (Jan 28-Feb 16 2018)
  • Agribusiness: A Tool for the Empowerment of Rural Women (4th – 22nd March, 2018)
  • Education for Sustainable Development (25 February – 16 March 2018)
  • Clean Technologies (22 April – 16 May 2018)
  • Special & Inclusive Education (6 May -25 May 2018)
  • Emergency Situation Preparedness (22 April – 10 May 2018)
  • Environmental Management of Nature Parks and Reserves (10 June – 29 June 2018)
  • Nutrition in a Changing Global Environment (27 May – 15 June 2018)
  • MA Program in Child Development (Oct 2018 – July 2019)
  • Political Empowerment of Women (June 18-28, 2018)

Benefits

The scholarships cover full tuition, board and accommodation, medical insurance, study materials and where relevant, field visits and cultural and social activities, such as excursions to historical and religious sites.

For the Masters degree programs, a number of scholarships are available to applicants from developing countries to cover, housing, medical insurance, living expenses, and a full or partial tuition waiver.

Eligibility

The different courses are targeted at different professional audiences (see the Official Website for course-specific eligibility requirements).

Application

Completed application forms, including the medical form, are to be sent to the relevant Israeli mission of the applicant’s country. Application deadlines are course-specific, and approaching application deadlines are as follows:
